Does it seem like this newer yellow charger tends to be a little sensitive, meaning that it tends to flash the fast blinking light ("Replace Pack") often?  My older black charger never had this problem.

I would agree, the new chargers are very sensitive. I've noticed that when you don't properly push the lithium ion batteries all the way down into the charger, I get errors.

I am also having this problem with a new set of DeWALT DC9096-2 batteries I just bought in Oct '09.

Software glitch.........they are aware of this and have since released an upgrade
