i have my regular lithium kit ive been using now and i have a compact battery coming next week, will i need a new charger for the compact since it charges in 30 min or will the li-on on one i have work?

also is there anything wrong with using a compact battery on a dcd 970 drill or dc827 impact? any input would be appreciated

You will need the Dewalt DC9310 Charger.

This Charger will charge your old NiCd's as well as your new Li-Ion batteries.

Their is nothing wrong with using you compact battery with XRP tools. You just won't appreciate the runtime, Ah is only a 1.1.
