Hey guys I just got this drill as a gift and i cant for the life of me understand why every time i try to unscrew something tight, the chuck unscrews itself completely from the shaft of the drill. This drill was brand new in the box. Is this normal? what can i do to fix this?? I would think for as beefy this thing is that it would be able to handle unscrewing a bolt without this happening. :'(

Thanks again!

Well there's your problem right there; you've got Duke loosing to WVU.

... Not sure about the drill though.  If it's still under warranty, I'd just take it back

Reverse the steps in the link above, with the addition of a little thread lock.
